Town Restaurant Table Tent Design

I designed this point-of-purchase table tent display for my COM-232 course at Southern New Hampshire University. Serving as a companion piece to the core brand identity system for "Town," a premium, authentic Chinese restaurant, this project focused on creating high-impact, small-format promotional collateral designed to drive high-margin item sales directly at the table.

Design Strategy & Visual Tactics

This desktop display translates the core "Town" visual assets into a functional, double-sided three-dimensional piece. The layout maintains the established brand aesthetic—utilizing a moody deep charcoal background, vibrant crimson accents, and rich gold-toned typography—while optimizing a condensed layout for maximum readability.

  • Front Display (Promotional Feature): The front face introduces a high-end Chef's Dim Sum offerings. The design creates an immediate sensory draw. The clean serif type provides an elegant, upscale narrative tone.
  • Back Display (Operational Utility): The reverse side acts as an agile menu extension, focusing exclusively on their wine selection. This strategic placement gives diners an easy visual anchor for mid-meal reordering without requiring them to reopen the main menu.
  • Cohesive Branding Elements: Both sides feature the signature textured calligraphic "Fu" (福) character and organic, ink-brush borders. This stylistic framing connects the collateral back to the restaurant's core identity, seamlessly bridging physical space and print media.

Technical Skills Applied

  • Dimensional Collateral Design: Engineering a print layout specifically intended to be folded, displayed, and viewed from multiple angles.
  • Micro-Information Architecture: Organizing headlines, item descriptions, and pricing tiers cleanly within a highly constrained vertical footprint.
  • Targeted Marketing Strategy: Designing with a clear business intent—focusing on premium, house-recommended upsells.
  • Consistent Visual Continuity: Preserving typographic hierarchies and asset styling across different formats within the same brand suite.
